IPL 2024: ‘Shut Out The Noise’ – Shane Watson’s Advice To Struggling Hardik Pandya Ahead of MI vs DC

In a valuable piece of advice, Shane Watson urges Hardik Pandya to ignore the outside noise.

Ever since Hardik Pandya stepped into Rohit Sharma’s shoes as Mumbai Indians‘ captain, the Baroda all-rounder has faced a barrage of criticism.

Ahead of IPL 2024, Mumbai Indians orchestrated a monetary deal to bring back Hardik Pandya from Gujarat Titans and promptly handed him the captaincy.

The return of Hardik Pandya to Mumbai Indians didn’t receive a warm reception from fans. They lambasted the management for not giving proper treatment to Rohit Sharma.

Fans from all corners of India are showing their frustration by booing Hardik Pandya wherever he takes the field as captain, whether it’s in Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, or most recently, Mumbai.

With Mumbai Indians losing all three matches in IPL 2024 so far, pressure continues to mount on Hardik Pandya. However, former Australian cricketer Shane Watson has stepped in with some advice ahead of their upcoming match against Delhi Capitals.

Shane Watson’s advice to Hardik Pandya is clear: drown out the distractions, a tactic that has been effective in his own career, and channel all energy into delivering standout performances as the tournament progresses.

“For Hardik, the one thing that he’s done so well throughout his career is been able to just shut out the noise, put his blinkers on, just put his headphones on and just focus on his ability to be able to execute his skill under immense pressure — and he’s done that,” Shane Watson told Jio Cinema.
