IPL 2024 – Match 26, LSG vs DC: Anrich Nortje Out, Jhye Richardson In? Delhi Capitals Probable Playing 11 vs Lucknow Super Giants

Anrich Nortje's expensive economy rate might lead to his replacement with Jhye Richardson.

The 26th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 will have Delhi Capitals taking on the Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Cricket Stadium situated in Lucknow on April 12, Friday.

David Warner and Prithvi Shaw are a combination who complement each other, both by hand and by skill set; in almost every game, they have given their side a blistering start.

Jake Fraser-McGurk To Fill In For Injured Mitchell Marsh

Mitchell Marsh has been ruled out of the league for at least a week, and they have an able replacement who could seamlessly come in: Jake Fraser-McGurk, who has shown his range in the International Circuit for Australia.

Rishabh Pant and Tristan Stubbs looked settled down in the roles they have been assigned by their team, which is Pant taking down spin in the middle overs while Stubbs handles the express pace.

From this, everything goes in a downward direction for the Capitals. Abhishek Porel in his innings against Mumbai looked totally out of depth and out of form despite scoring 41 runs, and at six he won’t provide any real value to the side.

Kumar Kushagra, a wicketkeeper-batter from Jharkhand, may be looked upon to replace Porel.

Uncertainty Looms Over Kuldeep Yadav’s Return

Axar Patel, with Lalit Yadav, will be their spin attack. Kuldeep Yadav is still a hit or miss, as the coach Ricky Ponting hinted in the pre-match presser.

Kuldeep’s return may boost Delhi’s chances because Kuldeep is an invaluable asset who takes wickets in the middle phase of the innings.

Jhye Richardson To Replace Anrich Nortje

It seems Anrich Nortje is still not fully fit from his run-up and loading, and his bowling has travelled to the boundary quite often this season, which could be the reason Jhye Richardson may replace him in the XI.

Khaleel Ahmed and Ishant Sharma have been decent with the new cherry, but they will need wickets because wickets are the only way they can contain the opposition batters from the onslaught.
