IPL 2024: Jake Fraser-McGurk Replaces Lungi Ngidi In Delhi Capitals Squad
Jake Fraser-McGurk has joined Delhi Capitals squad in place of Lungi Ngidi.
The Delhi Capitals have secured the services of the emerging Australian star, Jake Fraser-McGurk, for the upcoming IPL 2024 season, filling the void left by the injured pace bowler Lungi Ngidi.
Ngidi’s last appearance was in the second edition of the SA20 for Paarl Royals, and he has been inactive since February 2, when he faced off against Sunrisers Eastern Cape. Meanwhile, DC has acquired the services of McGurk at his base price of INR 50 lakh.
Hailed as the newest sensation in Australian cricket, Jake Fraser-McGurk caught the attention of Ricky Ponting with his stellar display in this year’s Big Bash League.
For those unfamiliar with McGurk, he’s recognized for his powerful stroke play, particularly evident in the recent BBL season.
Representing the Melbourne Renegades, he accumulated 257 runs in eight innings, averaging 32.12 with a striking rate of 158.64. He was the top run-getter for his side.
