It was a heartbreaking moment for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as their beloved captain MS Dhoni got out for a golden duck against Punjab Kings (PBKS) bowler Harshal Patel.
The atmosphere quickly shifted from excitement to stunned silence as Harshal Patel’s precise delivery caught Dhoni off guard. CSK finished with 167 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
However, a very unfortunate event occurred after Harshal Patel took the wicket of MS Dhoni: fans of MS Dhoni flooded Harshal Patel’s Instagram comments with abuses and threats.

It’s worth noting that MS Dhoni, who remained unbeaten since the start of IPL 2024, has been dismissed twice in the ongoing tournament, both times against Punjab Kings.
