IPL 2024: Former Coach Ravi Shastri Accuses Virat Kohli of Selfish Play

Virat Kohli would probably hold the record for the most trophies if IPL was about individual games, Ravi Shastri believes.

The former Indian cricketer and legend Ravi Shastri believes that if the Indian Premier League (IPL) was an individual game, then Virat Kohli would have the most trophies.

These remarks from Ravi Shastri came after Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) suffered their defeat in the IPL 2024 recently against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Notably, the highest run-scorer of the ongoing season currently is Virat Kohli, but he never received any kind of assistance from the other batters while batting so far.

On a related note, Ravi Shastri thinks that if the IPL was more about individual performance, Virat Kohli would be swimming in trophies. Here’s what the cricketer-turned-commentator said on Star Sports:

“If IPL was an individual game then Virat Kohli would have had the most trophies.”
