IPL 2023 Retention: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Release Aaron Finch Along With Two Others Ahead of Mini-Auction

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) might target Alex Hales in IPL 2023 mini-auction.

The two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have decided to release Aaron Finch ahead of IPL 2023 mini-auction.

Along with Finch, KKR are also pondering on releasing the Madhya Pradesh all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer, and Ajinkya Rahane.

Aaron Finch was signed by the KKR as the replacement for Alex Hales as the English opener pulled out of the tournament due to bubble fatigue.

The Australian batter was given plenty of chances at the top to prove his mettle with the bat, however, he couldn’t live up to the expectations.

The right-handed batter played five matches in the 2022 edition of the cash-rich league, where he could manage only 86 runs.

Ajinkya Rahane, who was roped in by the KKR for INR 1 Crore has failed to justify his price tag, having managed to score just 133 runs in seven outings.
