Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni has reached the city to prepare for the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Upon his arrival at the Chennai airport, the renowned IPL captain was given a warm welcome, with fans showering him with flowers.
The official Twitter account of CSK posted a photo of Dhoni’s arrival at the hotel, and soon after, a video of the same event began making rounds on social media, much to the delight of his fans.
The speculation surrounding MS Dhoni’s future has been rife, with many believing that this year’s IPL will be his last. Furthermore, rumours abound that Ben Stokes was brought in for a whopping amount in IPL 2023 auction as his successor.
MS Dhoni’s remarkable IPL career has seen him plundering 4,978 runs in 234 matches, placing him within touching distance of the 5,000-run milestone. If he manages to cross this year, he will join an exclusive club of just six other players to achieve this feat.
CSK Returns To Chepauk
After a long hiatus, Chennai Super Kings will finally return to their home ground of Chepauk for their first home match of the season against Lucknow Super Giants at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on April 3.
The much-anticipated IPL 2023 season is set to commence later this month with a blockbuster opening match between Chennai Super Kings and defending champions Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
