Five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians (MI) had a forgettable season last year as they finished rock-bottom in the points table with just four wins from 14 games.
They broke the bank for the wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan as they signed him for INR 15.25 crore in the mega-auction, held earlier this year before IPL 2022.
They also roped in English pacer Jofra Archer for INR 8 Crore, which meant that they had a pretty weak bowling attack, which affected their performances in the 2022 season of IPL.
Having retained their core in Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Suryakunar Yadav, and Jasprit Bumrah along with several other players, they will look to have an excellent IPL 2023 auction.

2. Cameron Green
Mumbai Indians’ long-serving all-rounder Kieron Pollard announced retirement from the Indian Premier League and took the position of batting coach of MI in the upcoming 2023 season.
In the absence of Pollard, the five-time champions will look to have a good pace all-rounder to fill the big shoes of the West Indies veteran, who can bat and chip in with a couple of overs with the ball.
The 23-year-old exhibits both qualities, and can be a decent replacement for Pollard. Also, the young Australian all-rounder will be one of the hottest properties in the upcoming auction.

3. Shivam Mavi
Mumbai Indians struggled to get a quality Indian fast bowler in the 2022 edition of IPL to pair up with premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah and Mavi’s inclusion can dilute the concerns for the five-time champions.
The Uttar Pradesh-born was roped in by Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2022 IPL mega-auction for a whopping amount of INR 7.25 Crore.
However, he failed to perform up to the mark, having picked five wickets in six matches at a poor economy of 10.32. The two-time champions released Mavi ahead of the IPL 2023 auction.
However, given his ability to swing the ball at high speed, Mumbai Indians would certainly look to utilise him as a powerplay bowler.
