IPL 2022: Zimbabwe Pacer Blessing Muzarabani Signed As A Net Bowler For Lucknow Supergiants (LSG)- Reports
Earlier, there were reports that Blessing Muzarabani will replace Mark Wood in Lucknow Supergiants.
Zimbabwe’s fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani has been roped in by Lucknow Super Giants as a net bowler for the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League.
The official Twitter handle of Indian Ambassador in Zimbabwe confirmed the news of the pace bowler leaving for India for the cash-rich league.
“Ambassador met with Mr Blessing Muzarabani, the Zimbabwean bowler, as he prepared to leave for #IPL2022. Ambassador wished him & his team #LucknowSuperGiants the very best,” the tweet read.
Notably, the Lucknow based franchise is yet to announce the replacement for Mark Wood, who pulled out of the tournament due to an injury. The franchise bought him for Rs. 7.5 crores during the auction.
IPL 2022 is set to commence on March 26 with Chennai Super Kings facing Kolkata Knight Riders in the opening match at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Lucknow Super Giants will face fellow debutants Gujarat Titans in their opening match on Monday, the 28th of March at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
