Just like the previous one, the match between Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals, on Tuesday went on to the last ball and eventually Kartik Tyagi defended four runs in the last over to hand his team 2 runs victory over Punjab Kings.

However, just before the last over, something happened in the 19th over of Mustafizur Rahman which created controversy on social media. Actually, the Bangladesh bowler, in the 19th over bowled two no-balls, which were ignored by both the on-field umpires as well as the third umpire. Not just this, the umpiring blunder eventually made an impact on the game as Punjab Kings lost the match by two runs.

Meanwhile, both Irfan Pathan and Aakash Chopra expressed their disappointment on social media over the matter.

As long as the match is concerned, Punjab Kings won the toss and opted to bowl first. Bowling first, they restricted the Rajasthan Royals to 185 in the final over, thanks to Arshdeep Singh’s brilliant fifer (5/32). The Sanju Samson-led side posted a competitive total on the board, thanks to Yashasvi Jaiswal (49) and middle-order batsman Mahipal Lomror (43).

In reply, the Punjab Kings got a good start as their opener KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal added 120 runs for the opening stand. Skipper of Punjab Kings was dismissed for 49 while his partner Agarwal smashed a 43-ball 67. However, their opening partnership went in vain as the team eventually lost the match by 2 runs as they couldn’t manage 4 runs off the final over.
