IPL 2020: Rohit Sharma Completed 200th Six, Joined “Dhoni-Gayle-de Villiers” Special Club

Rohit Sharma completed his 200th Six in Indian Premier League (IPL). Rohit Sharma became 2nd Indian to be in the list.

The fifth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) was played between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi in which Rohit Sharma led Mumbai Indians defeated Kolkata knight Riders by 49 runs.

During the match, Rohit ‘Hitman Sharma’ returned to his old colour once again on Wednesday. In the match played in Abu Dhabi, he took advantage of the Kolkata bowlers and scored runs with fours and sixes around the field. Rohit also scored his first half-century of the 13th season of IPL. In the case of sixes, ‘Hitman’ added another record to his name during the match.

Rohit Sharma Completed His 200th Six in IPL

Rohit Sharma scored 80 runs off just 54 balls against Kolkata knight Riders. During this, he also hit three fours and six skyscraper sixes. During his innings, Rohit also completed his 200th six in IPL history. With this, he also joined a special club. Rohit Sharma has now become the second Indian player to hit 200 sixes in the IPL. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the first Indian player to achieve this milestone. He has hit more than 200 sixes.

There are only four batsmen who have made a record of hitting 200 or more sixes in IPL. Now Rohit has also become one of those batsmen. Apart from Rohit, so far only Mahendra Singh Dhoni, AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle have achieved this milestone.

While Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma has now got 200 sixes in the IPL, Dhoni has rooted 212 sixes so far. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) veteran batsman AB de Villiers has so far scored 214 sixes in this T20 league. At the same time, in the case of sixes, Kings XI Punjab’s star batsman Chris Gayle has scored 326 sixes in the IPL.
