IPL 2020: RCB vs SRH, Virat Kohli & Co. beats Sunrisers Hyderabad by 10 Runs

Bangalore has started the tournament by winning by 10 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Sunrisers Hyderabad team’s captain David Warner won the toss and elected to bowl first. Batting first, Bangalore scored 163 for 5 wickets thanks to half-centuries from Devdutt Padikkal and AB de Villiers.
In reply, Hyderabad chased the target of 164 runs where Jonny Bairstow hit a half-century and Manish Pandey contributed 34 runs for the team. But eventually, in the last over, SRH get bundled out for 153 in 19.4 overs.
Kohli led RCB scored 163 runs with a half-century from Devdutt and AB de Villiers. Batting first after losing the toss, Devdutt Padikkal and Aaron Finch came out for the opening for RCB. Both added 53 runs on the scoreboard in 6 overs of the powerplay without losing wickets, of which 37 runs were scored by Padikkal and 12 runs by Finch. After a 90-run partnership, the team got its first setback as Devdutt, Vijay Shankar bowled him on the score of 56 runs. Finch was then LBW by Abhishek Sharma for 29 runs.
Captain Virat Kohli could not contribute much to the team and scored 14 runs off 13 balls and was dismissed by Natarajan. In this innings, Kohli could not play a single big shot, neither hit a four, nor a single six. Later, batting brilliantly, De Villiers scored 51 off 30 balls, it was because of his innings that the team managed to score 164 runs.
Whereas, Hyderabad had a poor start chasing the 164-run target from Bangalore. David Warner, standing on a non-strike, was run out after scoring 6 runs off 6 balls. Manish Pandey, batting brilliantly, was dismissed for 34 runs off 33 balls.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Jonny Bairstow then scored a significant knock of 43-ball 61 runs besides sharing a 71-run stand with Manish Pandey (34) to rebuild Sunrisers Hyderabad’s innings.
However, the two departed in quick succession off Yuzvendra Chahal’s deliveries. Following the two’s departure, the SRH fell like a pack of cards to get eventually bundled out for 153 in 19.4 overs.
Chahal was the pick of the bowlers for RCB with brilliant figures of three for 18. Shivam Dube and Navdeep Saini bagged two wickets each, while Dale Steyn also added a wicket to his account.
Royals Challengers Bangalore will now lock horns with Kings XI Punjab on September 24 in Dubai, while SunRisers Hyderabad will face Kolkata Knight Riders in Abu Dhabi on September 26.
