Inspired by Delhi Legends Kohli and Gambhir – Harshit Rana Justifies His Aggressive IPL Celebration
Harshit Rana opened up about his aggressive celebration in the IPL 2024, which resulted in a one-match ban.
Harshit Rana, a young fast bowler from Delhi, is making a name for himself in cricket. He helped his team, Kolkata Knight Riders, win the IPL 2024 with his bowling.
However, everyone’s talking about something else too – his feisty attitude on the field, which also saw him getting banned for a match in the IPL 2024 against Mumbai Indians.
Just like famous Delhi players like Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir, Harshit shows a lot of passion while playing. He gives big celebrations after taking wickets, which some people find a bit much.
However, the young Delhi fast bowler doesn’t care. He says this fire in his heart is what makes Delhi players special. He believes it’s the reason why players like Kohli became so successful and why Gambhir won two World Cups for India.
“This tag has been given to us. Hum Dilli wale hai, emotional hai, aur dil se khelte hai (We are from Delhi, we play cricket with our heart). This Delhi’s aggression has made Virat Kohli the Virat Kohli he is. Ishant Sharma played 100 Test matches, and Rishabh Pant did that miracle at Gabba. Gautam Gambhir won two World Cup finals for India,” Harhsit Rana told the Indian Express.
Harshit Rana picked up 19 wickets in 11 matches at an economy rate of 9.08. He picked two crucial wickets in the final itself against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
