England beat South Africa by 342 runs in Southampton to break India’s ODI world record for the biggest victory margin in one-day cricket.

England created history with a massive 342-run win over South Africa in the third ODI at the Rose Bowl in Southampton. With this result, they broke India’s world record for the biggest victory margin in one-day internationals.

The hosts piled on a huge score before bowling South Africa out for just 72 runs. Leg spinner Adil Rashid finished with three wickets, cleaning up the tail. South African captain Temba Bavuma did not come out to bat due to injury.

Until now, India held the record for the largest win in ODIs. They had defeated Sri Lanka by 317 runs in Thiruvananthapuram during their home series in 2023.
