India Adidas Drops Teaser of Team India’s Jaw-Dropping New Jersey Design
BCCI recently revealed that Adidas has been chosen as the new official kit sponsor for the Indian cricket team.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Tuesday, May 23 that Adidas will be the new kit sponsor of the Indian team. The World Test Championship will witness players donning the Adidas kit for the first time. This long-term agreement will remain in effect until 2028.
Here’s what the BCCI said in a statement:
“The contract, which runs through to March 2028, will give adidas exclusive rights for manufacturing kit across all formats of the game. adidas will be the sole supplier for all match, training & travel wear for the BCCI- including the men’s, women’s & youth teams. Starting June 2023, Team India will be seen in the three stripes for the very first time and will debut their new kit during the World Test Championship Finals.”
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah voiced his excitement and anticipation for their fresh collaboration with Adidas, stating:
“We are committed to helping grow the game of cricket and could not be more excited to partner with one of the world’s leading sportswear brands, adidas, in this journey. With its rich historical legacy in sports, world-class products, and strong global reach, adidas will play an important role in driving the performance and future success of different categories of Indian cricket.”
Under this partnership, Adidas will produce the complete range of match, training, and travel apparel for the Indian Men’s and Women’s senior, youth, ‘A,’ and ‘B’ teams, as well as their coaches and staff. The Indian Men’s team will proudly debut the iconic brand’s jersey during the World Test Championship Final, commencing on June 7, 2023.
