IND vs SL - The series opener between India & Sri Lanka will be played at Wankhede Stadium on Tue, Jan 3.
Team India will kick-start their home season with a three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. The series is scheduled to begin on January 3 in Mumbai and is set to be followed by a three-match ODI series as well.
Hardik Pandya, the team’s star all-rounder, will lead team India in T20Is before taking over as Rohit Sharma’s deputy in ODIs. The T20I team will miss the services of senior players Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, while Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of the series following his car accident.
Dasun Shanaka, meanwhile, will lead Sri Lanka’s T20I team with the star spinner Wanindu Hasaranga being named his deputy. Lahiru Kumara, Nuwan Thushara, and Bhanuka Rajapaksa will be the players to look out for the Islanders.
