After winning the toss in the final match of the five-match T20I series, England opted to bowl first, leading to several records being broken by India. Thanks to an outstanding performance from Abhishek Sharma, who scored 135 runs off just 54 deliveries, India set a massive target of 247 runs in 20 overs.
This is India’s highest-ever total in T20Is against England and the fifth-highest overall in T20I history. India’s highest T20I total was recorded against Bangladesh in Hyderabad on 12th October 2024.
