England batter Harry Brook has pulled out from the upcoming five-match Test series against India, commencing January 25, citing personal reasons.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has confirmed that the batter, Harry Brook, will be returning home with immediate effect, as stated on Sunday, January 21.
The board has confirmed that Harry Brook won’t be returning to India. His absence is a big blow for the visiting England side, given his stellar form in the longest format of the game.
“The Brook family respectfully requests privacy during this time. In light of this, the ECB and the family kindly request the media and the public to respect their wish for privacy and refrain from intruding on their private space,” the ECB said.
