Harry Brook, will miss India tour due to personal reasons

The England Cricket Board (ECB) has officially named right-handed batter Dan Lawrence as the replacement for Harry Brook in the squad for the upcoming Test tour of India, with the player expected to join the team within the next 24 hours.

The England batting sensation, Harry Brook, is set to miss the entire Test series against India from January 25 due to personal reasons, as confirmed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in an official statement released on Sunday, January 21.

“Harry Brook is set to return home with immediate effect for personal reasons from the England Men’s Test tour of India. The Brook family respectfully requests privacy during this time,” ECB said in a statement.

“In light of this, the ECB and the family kindly request the media and the public to respect their wish for privacy and refrain from intruding on their private space. The England selectors will confirm a replacement player for the tour in due course,” it added.
