Australia lost the first two ODIs of three match series and will looking to avoid clean sweep

Australia lost the first two ODIs against India and will now head into the third ODI, scheduled to be played in Rajkot on Wednesday, September 27, in an attempt to salvage some pride and avoid a clean sweep.

In the first ODI match at Mohali, Australia succumbed to a five-wicket defeat, and they continued their struggle in the second ODI at Indore, losing by 99 runs (via DLS method). Pat Cummins was not in the lineup for the second ODI, with Steve Smith taking on the role of captain.

While the participation of Pat Cummins in the third ODI remains uncertain, there are reports indicating that Glenn Maxwell and Mitchell Starc will be making a comeback into the third ODI after missing the first two matches.
