Imad Wasim, Mohammad Amir, and Fakhar Zaman Join CPL 2024 Amidst Pakistan’s World Cup Elimination
Antigua & Barbuda Falcons signed Imad Wasim, Mohammad Amir, and Fakhar Zaman for CPL 2024.
Antigua & Barbuda Falcons have signed three-star Pakistani players, namely Mohammad Amir, Imad Wasim, and Fakhar Zaman, for the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024 season, which begins on August 29.
This news comes after Pakistan’s heartbreaking 6-run defeat to India in New York on Sunday. It was the second consecutive defeat for the Men in Green. Following this, Pakistan faces a must-win match against Canada on Tuesday.
The Falcons have been strategically constructing their squad ahead of their first season. Besides the Pakistani trio, they have secured the services of Australian off-spinner Chris Green and Afghan all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai.
Additionally, West Indies’ Brandon King, Fabian Allen, and the dynamic young batter Jewel Andrew have joined the team.
The CPL’s newest franchise steps in to replace the Antigua Hawksbills, who played in the league’s early seasons before being succeeded by the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in 2015.
