Desert Vipers beat Gulf Giants by 5 wickets in the 24th match of the International League T20 (ILT20) 2025.

Desert Vipers secured a comfortable 5-wicket win over Gulf Giants in the 24th match of ILT20 2025 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on January 29.

Tom Curran’s Knock Lifts Gulf Giants to 129/8

After winning the toss, Desert Vipers chose to bowl first. Gulf Giants struggled to build partnerships as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Tom Curran was the lone warrior for his team, smashing an unbeaten 64 off 34 balls, including nine fours and a six.

The rest of the batting lineup failed to deliver. James Vince (15), Tom Alsop (17), and Tim David (9) were the only other batters to cross double digits. Wanindu Hasaranga and Sam Curran bowled brilliantly, picking up three wickets each. Lockie Ferguson and Khuzaima Tanveer took one wicket each as Gulf Giants finished at 129/8 in 20 overs.

Max Holden Guides Vipers to Victory

Chasing 130, Desert Vipers lost Alex Hales (9) and Fakhar Zaman (14) early. However, Max Holden anchored the innings with a brilliant unbeaten 70 off 54 balls, hitting nine fours and one six. Daniel Lawrence (7), Sam Curran (16), and Azam Khan (1) fell cheaply, but Adam Hose (12*) supported Holden to take the team over the line.

Blessing Muzarabani was the best bowler for Gulf Giants, taking 3 wickets for 25 runs. Mark Adair and Chris Jordan picked up one wicket each. However, their efforts were not enough as Vipers chased down the target in 19 overs.
