ICC World Cup 2023: Rachin Ravindra Becomes Youngest and Fastest New Zealand Batter to Score Century in World Cup History
Rachin Ravindra become the fifth New Zealand batter and 16th overall to score a hundred on World Cup debut
Rachin Ravindra made headlines on Thursday, October 5, when he became the youngest and fastest New Zealand batter to score a century in the ODI World Cup.
The Kiwi batter has achieved this milestone during the ICC World Cup 2023 opener between England and New Zealand at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
With this, Ravindra has now become the fifth New Zealand batter and 16th overall to score a hundred on World Cup debut, joining his partner Devon Conway who also registered the feat in the same innings.
Ravindra reached the three-digit score off just 81 deliveries after coming to bat at number 3, replacing skipper Kane Williamson in the playing XI, who missed the opening game against England.
