New Zealand pacer Tim Southee claimed a wicket in the first T20I against England, sending England’s opener Jonny Bairstow packing. This puts him at the top of the Men’s T20I wicket-taker list with 140 scalps to his name, breaking the tie with Bangladesh’s all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan at 140 wickets.
Speaking of the game, England managed to edge out New Zealand with seven wickets to spare in a low-scoring encounter, giving them a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20I series.
