India’s star pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah grabbed a six-wicket haul in the series opener of the three-match ODI series against England at the Kennington Oval, London on Tuesday.
Bumrah produced his career-best figures in ODI cricket, finishing with 6/19 as India bowled out England for a paltry 110 runs in the 1st ODI. The speedster cleaned up the likes of Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes, Joe Root, Brydon Carse and David Willey.
Bumrah’s spell was also the best ever by an Indian bowler against England in ODIs, surpassing that of Ashish Nehra who claimed 6/23 in the 2003 ODI World Cup against South Africa.
