BCCI Unfair On Jitesh Sharma and Sanju Samson As Rishabh Pant Set to Be Included In India’s T20 World Cup 2024 Squad
Rishabh Pant is set to be included in T20 World Cup 2024 squad of India.
In a major update, it has been reported that Rishabh Pant is being considered as the preferred wicket-keeper for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 for Team India, which is set to be played in the USA and West Indies starting in June.
Notably, Rishabh Pant made a cricket comeback after more than a year in the IPL 2024, where he is currently leading the Delhi Capitals and has already scored two half-centuries, showing good form with the bat.
However, fans believe that selecting Rishabh Pant for T20 World Cup 2024 would be unfair to players like Jitesh Sharma and Sanju Samson, who have also performed well with the bat and have been exceptional for Team India in recent months.
Jitesh Sharma currently represents Punjab Kings in the IPL 2024, while Sanju Samson is leading Rajasthan Royals and has been in great batting form.
Furthermore, fans also believe that since Rishabh Pant has just returned to competitive cricket after suffering a serious accident, it would be a hasty decision by the BCCI to include him in the Indian squad.
With 987 runs to his name from 66 T20 matches, Rishabh Pant’s batting average sits at 22, paired with a strike rate of 126.54, which clearly leaves room for improvement.
