Australia’s Top Spinner Predicts T20 World Cup 2024 Finalists, Chooses Pakistan Over India

Nathan Lyon has dropped his prediction for T20 World Cup 2024.

The Australian spinner, Nathan Lyon, has predicted Australia and Pakistan to play in the final of the T20 World Cup 2024, which is set to kick off in June and is co-hosted by the West Indies and the USA.

Australia, fresh off their T20 World Cup 2021 victory and the recent 2023 ODI World Cup win, is undeniably a force to be reckoned with.

With the quality of spinners they have, including Adam Zampa, Ashton Agar, and Glenn Maxwell, there is no doubt that they will perform well on the slower Caribbean wickets.

The batting lineup boasts firepower as well, with Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh, and the versatile Maxwell providing a potent mix.

Pakistan, however, shouldn’t be underestimated. Their spin attack features the in-form Imad Wasim, while Shadab Khan’s form remains a question mark.

Nevertheless, their batting boasts a stellar line-up: the ever-reliable captain Babar Azam, wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan, the explosive Fakhar Zaman, and the consistent Iftikhar Ahmed.

Interestingly, it was Australia who knocked Pakistan out of the 2021 World Cup. Pakistan will undoubtedly be looking to settle the score this time around.
