Chennai Super Kings’ star all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has been ruled out of the ongoing IPL-2020 due to a groin injury. Undoubtedly it is another massive blow for the already struggling CSK.

Chennai Super Kings’, the most loving team of the tournament, has failed to perform in the IPL-2020 so far. They are struggling in the UAE from day one. First Suresh Raina, ruled out of the IPL 2020 citing personal reasons. Soon after him, Harbhajan Singh also pulled himself out of IPL-2020 to spent some quality time with his family.

Chennai Super Kings are currently lying at the bottom of the points table with only three wins in the ten matches. Their chances of qualifying the playoffs is very low. It would be the first time in the history of the IPL that Chennai would not qualify for the playoff, despite playing the season. Now the situations will become more complicated for CSK in Bravo’s absence.

“Dwayne Bravo is ruled out of the IPL due to a groin injury,” CSK CEO Kashi Viswanathan told PTI.

Bravo has played six games in the ongoing tournament and scored only seven runs in two innings. However, he got six wickets in as many games with an economy rate of 8.57.

The poor performance of their skipper MS Dhoni, Kedar Jadhav and Suresh Raina has also been a matter of concern for the Chennai based franchise.

Chennai Super Kings will now lock horns with the defending champions Mumbai Indians on Friday in Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
