Virat Kohli displayed his pace bowling skills in the second warm-up match against Aaron Finch-led Australia on Wednesday.
“We want to make sure that we get the 6th bowling option. We have quality in the main bowlers, but you need an option for a 6th bowler,” said Rohit Sharma, who led Team India in their second warm-up match against Australia at the ICC Academy Ground on Wednesday.
Earlier, fans thought the Indian opener was joking but it actually came true as the regular skipper came on to bowl two overs after the powerplay.
Kohli with his medium pace conceded just four runs in his first over and went for eight runs in the second over, including one boundary. Following his two overs, the talks regarding him being the sixth bowling option for at least one or two overs has fueled.

As long as match is concerned, India won it easily by 9 wickets. After opting to bat first, Australia posted 152 runs for the loss of 5 wickets, which Rohit Sharma-led Team India chased down with ease in just 17.5 overs.
