AFG vs PAK: Fareed Ahmad Abuses Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq During 2nd ODI – Report

Fareed Ahmad also involved in a ugly fight with Pakistan’s Asif Ali during the Asia Cup 2022

Afghanistan pacer Fareed Ahmad used abusive language against Pakistan skipper Babar Azam and opener Imam-ul-Haq during the second ODI, as per a report of Samaa News.

Here it is worth mentioning that Fareed Ahmad is the same player who was involved in a ugly fight with Pakistan’s Asif Ali during the Asia Cup 2022 match between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

As long as the match is concerned, Pakistan beat Afghanistan by just one wicket with Naseem Shah emerging as the hero for the Men in Green. He hit a boundary on the penultimate ball of Fazalhaq Farooqi to take his side over the finish line.

After the game concluded, tension flared up within both teams’ camps as Shaheen Afridi refused to shake hands with the Afghanistan players. Also, Pakistan voiced strong displeasure regarding the incident where Fazalhaq Farooqi utilised a mankading to ‘run out’ Shadab Khan at the non-strikers’ end during the last over.

Later, Pakistan captain Babar Azam also looked in angry mode, which is very rare to see as he was spotted talking with Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi. Speaking of the three-match series, Pakistan secured a clean sweep over Afghanistan by winning the third ODI by 59 runs.
