‘Don’t Put Me In Position Where I’ve To Show How Cruel I am’ – Shaheen Aftidi’s Warning To Babar Azam

Shaheen Afridi posted a cryptic message on his Instagram after losing captaincy to Babar Azam.

Shaheen Shah Afridi took to Instagram to post a cryptic story after being stripped off Pakistan’s white ball captaincy, as Babar Azam was handed back the leadership role ahead of the T20 World Cup in June.

“Never ever put me in a position where I have to show you how cruel and ruthless I can be. Don’t test my patience. Because I might be the kindest and sweetest person you’ve ever met, but once I reach my limit, you’ll see me do the things that no one thought I was capable of doing,” read the text in the 29-second clip of a lion walking.

After the World Cup in India last November, with Zaka Ashraf at the helm of the PCB, Shaheen Shah Afridi was appointed T20 captain.

The tall pacer captained Pakistan in the only T20I series against New Zealand before the PCB reverted the T20I and ODI captaincy to Babar Azam recently.

Shaheen earned his captaincy role on the basis of his stellar leadership for the Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), securing two consecutive titles for the franchise.

However, after being named captain, Shaheen Afridi lost the T20 series in New Zealand 1-4 and also suffered a poor campaign in PSL, with his team finishing at the bottom of the points table.
