PCB Issues False Statement on Behalf of Shaheen Afridi After Babar Azam’s Captaincy Announcement

PCB issued a fabricated announcement under the guise of Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Pakistan cricket and drama go hand in hand. Once again, it has been proven that the Pakistan Cricket Board decided to appoint Babar Azam as the white-ball captain, replacing Shaheen Shah Afridi, who captained the Pakistan T20I team for just one series.

Adding fuel to the fire, it’s been reported that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued a false statement attributed to Shaheen Shah Afridi in the wake of Babar Azam’s captaincy announcement.

For those not in the loop, the PCB released a statement in the evening of Babar Azam‘s captaincy announcement, stating Shaheen Afridi’s satisfaction with the decision and his intention to support Babar Azam both on and off the field in the future.

However, it has now emerged that Shaheen Shah Afridi did not issue any such statement, sparking further intrigue among fans on social media regarding the potential rift between the pacer and the management.
