Having missed the first ODI against England at the Oval due to a groin injury, Virat Kohli is likely to be unavailable for the second ODI at Lord’s as well.

According to reports of news agency ANI, the former India skipper is yet to recover from the groin injury and is expected to miss the second ODI on Thursday against England. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) however, hasn’t made an official announcement on the matter yet.

Jasprit Bumrah, on Tuesday when asked about the status of injury of Virat Kohli in the post-match press conference, the ace fast bowler said that he has no idea about the same. Bumrah stressed that he didn’t feature in the third T20I where Virat Kohli reportedly suffered the injury, so he has no clue.

“I don’t know the status of his injury because I did not play the last game (3rd T20I). Hopefully, he recovers, but I really don’t know the status of his injury,” Bumrah said.

Talking about the match, India star pacer Jasprit Bumrah launched an assault on the English batters as he registered career-best figures (6/19) to bowl out England for a paltry 110 in 25.2 overs.

Coming to chase, a solid unbeaten opening stand between Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan led India to a crushing 10-wicket win over England in the first ODI and take 1-0 lead in the three-match series at The Kennington Oval, here on Tuesday.
