Australia are missing the services of left-arm off-spinner Ashton Agar due to a calf injury which is why another spinner has been added to the squad along with leg-spinner Mitch Swepson, who was called in as cover for Agar before the 1st T20I.

As long as Green is concerned, the 21-year-old Green made his international debut for Australia in the 3rd ODI against India in Canberra on December 2 in which he managed bowled 4 overs for 27 and managed 21 runs with the bat.

After Ashton Agar, Aaron Finch sustained an injury to his hip/buttock region and the Aussies are awaiting the results of the scans. If he doesn’t take part in the last two matches, it remains to be seen who takes over the leadership mantle in the remaining two matches of the series at the SCG.

Marcus Stoinis, David Warner and Mitchell Starc have also developed injuries during this while. Pat Cummins was rested while Lyon, Swepson and D’Arcy Short have been added to the white-ball squads. The second T20I is set to be played on Sunday, December 6.
