IPL 2022 is all set to be a mega-event as a total of 10 teams will be participating in the next edition of the cash-rich league. The two new teams, which include, Lucknow and Ahmedabad, have been added to the tournament ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction.
Meanwhile, the wait is over now as all the eight franchises have submitted their retentions ahead of the mega auction of IPL 2022. However, before heading towards the retentions, let’s have a quick look at the retention rules, that was followed by all the franchises while picking their retentions.
IPL 2022 Retention Rules
Speaking of the rules, if an IPL franchise decides to retain a maximum of 4 players ahead of the IPL auctions, then the total purse available for the 4 players will be INR 42 Crores.
