Bangladesh Crumble After Early Blows

Skipper Litton Das tried to steady the innings but fell for 28. Wanindu Hasaranga struck twice, removing him and Mahedi Hasan. At 53 for 5, Bangladesh were staring at a collapse.

Jaker Ali and Shamim Hossain then fought back with an unbeaten 86-run stand. Jaker made 41 not out, while Shamim top-scored with 42 not out, guiding their side to 139 for 5 in 20 overs.

Nissanka, Mishara Lead Easy Chase

Chasing 140, Sri Lanka lost Kusal Mendis early to Mustafizur Rahman. But Nissanka counterattacked in style. He smashed 50 off 34 balls with six fours and a six.

He found strong support in Kamil Mishara, who played with confidence. The duo added 95 runs for the second wicket, breaking Bangladesh’s spirit.

Though Mahedi Hasan and Tanzim Sakib picked up wickets to create some hope, Sri Lanka were never in trouble. Mishara stayed unbeaten on 46 off 32 balls, finishing the job with skipper Charith Asalanka.

With the win, Sri Lanka grabbed two points and continued their dominance in the “Naagin Derby” against their Asian rivals.
