According to IANS, Arun has agreed to join the Rishabh Pant-led franchise, ending his four-year association with Kolkata Knight Riders.

Arun was KKR’s bowling coach since 2022 and played a key role in their 2024 IPL title win. His departure comes a day after KKR also parted ways with head coach Chandrakant Pandit.

Sources close to the developments said LSG were looking for an experienced Indian bowling coach after finishing seventh last season, and Arun’s name was at the top of their list.

However, his appointment also brings fresh uncertainty around LSG’s coaching setup. Head coach Justin Langer is reportedly on his way out, and while talks with mentor Zaheer Khan are still ongoing, nothing has been finalised yet.

Arun, one of India’s most successful bowling coaches, was instrumental in developing India’s pace battery from 2017 to 2021.

He was also part of the coaching staff during India’s U-19 World Cup win in 2012 and has worked with multiple domestic teams and Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the past.
