Shubman Gill made history on Thursday by scoring a double century against England in the second Test at Edgbaston, Birmingham. This is the highest score by an Indian captain in an overseas Test match.

Before this, the record was held by Virat Kohli, who scored 200 runs against West Indies at North Sound in 2016.
