IPL 2025: RCB vs SRH Shifted to Lucknow Due to Rain Threat in Bengaluru

The RCB vs SRH match on May 23 has been shifted to Lucknow due to rain threat in Bengaluru.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is nearing its final stage, and the race for the playoffs is heating up. So far, three teams – Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Punjab Kings (PBKS), and Gujarat Titans (GT) have sealed their spots in the top four.

Now, only one spot is left, and the competition is tough between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals.

Meanwhile, RCB’s recent match against Kolkata Knight Riders at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru was washed out without a ball being bowled due to heavy rain.

As weather conditions in Bengaluru remain unpredictable, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to shift RCB’s upcoming game against Sunrisers Hyderabad to Lucknow.

The match was originally scheduled to take place on May 23 at RCB’s home ground. However, with persistent showers and a gloomy forecast, it has now been moved to the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow to ensure a full game.

RCB are currently sitting second on the points table with 17 points from 13 matches, including one no-result. They have won eight matches and are looking strong ahead of the playoffs.

On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad are already out of the playoffs race. Their campaign has been inconsistent, and this final match will be all about finishing on a positive note.

The venue change comes at a crucial time, as RCB would want to avoid another washout and carry their winning momentum into the knockout stage.
