Digvesh Rathi Suspended from IPL After Ugly Fight with Abhishek Sharma
Digvesh Rathi has been suspended for one match in IPL 2025 after a fight with Abhishek Sharma on the field.

Lucknow Super Giants’ bowler Digvesh Rathi has been suspended for one match and fined half of his match fee for breaking IPL rules during the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 19.
The trouble started after Rathi took the wicket of SRH opener Abhishek Sharma. Rathi celebrated with his usual “book-signing” gesture, which upset Sharma. The two players then argued, and umpires had to step in to calm things down.
This is Rathi’s third time breaking the rules this season. He has now got five penalty points. According to IPL rules, if a player reaches five points, they get suspended for one match. So, Rathi will miss the next LSG game against Gujarat Titans on May 22.
LSG is already out of the playoffs after losing to SRH. Abhishek Sharma, who played well in that match, was also fined and given one penalty point for his part in the argument.
The IPL has warned all players to keep good behaviour on the field as the tournament moves towards its end.
