Twitter was on fire after Suryakumar Yadav was given out caught by third umpire in what appeared to be a very close call during the 4th T20I between Indian and England at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Suryakumar Yadav, walked out to bat in the fourth over after Rohit Sharma’s departure. He started his innings on a stunning note by dispatching Jofra Archer for a six on the very first ball he faced. Surya finished his maiden half-century and he was looking on song before he was given out for in a controversial manner.

Suryakumar’s knock off 57 of 31 was studded with six boundaries and three blistering maximums. But while everyone praised the batsmen for his stellar knock, social media soon broke into a debate after the India batsman lost his wicket on a controversial decision.

In the 13th over of the game, Suryakumar was caught by Dawid Malan on the boundary ropes off Sam Curran. However, the catch wasn’t clear and the on-field umpire refereed the catch to the third umpire.

A Clean footage appeared of Malan not catching the ball properly and Surya was given out in a controversial manner. Twitter went absolutely mad at the decision.
