Virat Kohli Promises to Visit Pakistan After Heartfelt Request from a Pakistani Influencer

In a video going viral on social media, Virat Kohli can be seen having a video chat with Pakistani mountaineer.

The Indian batting legend Virat Kohli has expressed his desire to visit Pakistan in the future. This interesting revelation came during a video call with Pakistani mountaineer Shehroze Kashif.

Shehroze Kashif, who gained fame in 2021 for becoming the youngest climber to summit K2, had a chance encounter with an Indian individual who claimed to have connections with the Indian cricket team.

Kashif, a self-proclaimed admirer of Virat Kohli’s batting, jokingly expressed his desire to have a conversation with the star cricketer. Surprisingly, the Indian individual facilitated a video call between Kashif and Kohli.

Following the call, Kashif shared a clip on his Instagram account. In the video, Kohli can be heard saying, “Give my regards to your family and all your friends. Hopefully, we visit Pakistan soon, everyone’s started visiting now.”

While Kohli has played in most cricketing nations, he hasn’t had the opportunity to play in Pakistan due to the ongoing political tensions between India and Pakistan.

The last bilateral series between the two nations was held in Pakistan back in 2008 for the Asia Cup. Interestingly, Kohli made his international debut just a month later, meaning he has never visited Pakistan as an Indian player.

Going forward it will be interesting to see if India will travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which is set to be hosted by Pakistan.
