A total of 146 players have registered for the auction, including 36 capped players and 110 uncapped players. The list features Indian and overseas players who will look to secure a place in one of the five WPL teams.

Of the 36 capped players, 22 are Indian and 14 are from overseas. The uncapped list includes 97 Indians and 13 overseas players, making up the largest group in the auction pool.

Players to Watch

The registered players have set their base prices between INR 10 lakh and INR 50 lakh. Sophia Dunkley and Sophie Molineux have entered the auction at the highest base price of INR 50 lakh, while G. Kamalini and Kiran Navgire are among the Indian players with a base price of INR 40 lakh.

Heather Graham and Jess Jonassen have also registered at INR 40 lakh. However, the final price for each player will depend on the bidding by the franchises during the auction.

G. Kamalini is one of the names to watch closely. The 18-year-old wicketkeeper-batter was previously part of the Mumbai Indians squad and has since earned her India cap. Her release by Mumbai has made her one of the interesting prospects ahead of the auction.

Grace Harris, Sneh Rana and Asha Shobhana are also among the players who could attract attention from teams looking to strengthen their squads.

The franchises will have to make careful choices as they look to fill their remaining slots and build balanced teams for the upcoming season.

The 2027 auction is the first mini-auction of the current WPL cycle. It follows last year’s mega-auction in New Delhi, where teams made major changes to their squads.

The WPL auction has previously been held in Mumbai, Bengaluru and New Delhi. With Kochi set to host the 2027 event, the franchises will now turn their attention to the bidding as preparations begin for the next season.
