Harvinder Singh, brother of Kings XI Punjab batsman Mandeep Singh, has rubbished the reports of his father Hardev Singh’s death. He said that his father is alive but he is still on ventilator and under critical observation.
Punjab Kesari Sports had reported that Mandeep Singh’s father passes away after a prolonged illness. Hardev Singh’s health got worsen in the last month itself when the IPL had just begun. The family had admitted him to the nearby hospital but he had to shifted to Chandigarh after his condition became critical. The fake news of his demise started getting viral on Thursday.
According to Indian Express, Harvinder has rubbished the reports and stated that his father’s health is not at all promising at the moment, revealing that Hardev is still on ventilator and under critical observation.
Mandeep Singh is currently playing in the IPL for Kings XI Punjab. He is currently in Abu Dhabi due to the ongoing IPL matches in Dubai. He hasn’t got many opportunities turn up for KXIP this season. He has played only three games and managed to score only 33 runs. Hardev Singh has also been a former District Sports Officer of Jalandhar.
