Peshawar Zalmi‘s captain, Babar Azam, continues to shine brightly, offering a stellar start to his side once again in the recent Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 match against Lahore Qalandars.

Stepping up to open alongside Saim Ayub, Babar Azam stole the show with his boundary-laden innings, racking up 48 runs from 36 deliveries before his Lahore counterpart removed him on a short ball delivery.

Teaming up with Saim Ayub, Babar Azam orchestrated a massive 136-run opening partnership, while Saim showcased his prowess with 88 runs off just 55 balls, highlighted by eight boundaries and four maximums.

While Babar Azam was at the crease, the entire Lahore stadium reverberated with chants of ‘Babar Babar,’ despite the home team, led by Shaheen Afridi, facing off against Peshawar Zalmi.

The Peshawar Zalmi ended up putting 211 runs on the board for the loss of four wickets. Apart from Saim and Babat Azam, Rovman Powell smashed 46 runs from just 20 balls with the help of five boundaries and two sixes.
