Iyer is currently undergoing treatment at a Sydney hospital after suffering a serious injury during the third ODI against Australia.
The BCCI confirmed that he injured his spleen and suffered internal bleeding while taking a spectacular catch to dismiss Alex Carey.
Moments after the catch, Iyer complained of pain and was rushed to the hospital, where he was moved to the ICU.
