[Watch] Angry Shan Masood Walks Onto Field To Complain About Haris Rauf’s Catch During PSL 2024 Game
Haris Rauf also injured his bowling arm while grabbing a catch.
In a massive blow, fast bowler Haris Rauf injured his bowling arm while grabbing a catch during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 match between Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars on Saturday, February 25 at Gaddafi Stadium.
This happened during the second-to-last delivery of the game, with Karachi requiring one run to win from two balls. Hasan Ali attempted a lofted shot off left-arm spinner Ahsan Bhatti but mistimed it.
Rauf sprinted in from long-off, making a tumbling effort to grasp the catch. However, he landed awkwardly on his bowling arm, his head hitting the turf upon impact. Instantly, the right-arm pacer grabbed his head, visibly in agony.
The ball slipped from his grasp upon landing. The third umpire was summoned to review the catch’s completion. Following a thorough examination of the replays, third umpire Aleem Dar ruled it a legitimate catch.
However, Karachi Kings captain Shan Masood didn’t seem to agree with the decision as he was quite animated on the boundary ropes after the decision was made.
