JSK vs SEC: The Catch of the Century! Donovan Ferreira’s One-Handed Stunner Steals the Spotlight in SA20
Donovan Ferreira grabbed a one-handed stunner in SA20 which left fans in awe.

The ongoing SA20 2025 has witnessed numerous jaw-dropping catches, but Donovan Ferreira’s effort during the recent clash between Joburg Super Kings and Sunrisers Eastern Cape stands out. On the fourth ball of the 19th over, Ferreira executed what many are calling the tournament’s best catch, dismissing Beyers Swanepoel.
The breathtaking moment came when Hardus Viljoen, already on a roll, bowled a short delivery outside off. Swanepoel tried to slap it over cover, but Ferreira had other plans. Positioned at sweeper cover, he sprinted to his right, stretched his right hand, and plucked the ball out of thin air. The entire Joburg Super Kings team ran towards him, celebrating the spectacular effort that left the crowd in awe.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape’s Struggle with the Bat
Sunrisers Eastern Cape, after choosing to bat first, managed only 118 runs in 19 overs. Their innings started on a disastrous note as they lost Zak Crawley, Tom Abell, and Jordan Hermann for ducks, all dismissed by Lutho Sipamla. Captain Aiden Markram also fell cheaply, leaving the Sunrisers reeling at 17 for 4.
David Bedingham fought hard with a valiant knock of 48 runs off 40 balls, including seven boundaries. He stitched a crucial partnership with Tristan Stubbs, who contributed 37 off 38 deliveries. However, once Bedingham departed, the lower order collapsed rapidly. Marco Jansen chipped in with 22 runs, but it wasn’t enough to lift the Sunrisers to a competitive total.
