India all-rounder Hardik Pandya dismissed Pakistan opener Imam-ul-Haq for 36 runs, giving Team India their second breakthrough in the ongoing India versus Pakistan match at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

In an interesting turn of events just before the delivery that saw Hardik Pandya dismiss Imam-ul-Haq, Pandya was spotted performing a ritual or reciting a mantra on the ball. Surprisingly, on the very next delivery, he successfully trapped Imam-ul-Haq with an outside-off delivery.

It all happened on the third delivery of the 13th over when Hardik Pandya coming over the stumps, bowled a full delivery just outside off. Imam-ul-Haq’s attempt to drive the delivery resulted in an outside edge, and wicket-keeper KL Rahul made a precise and successful catch.

Before this, Mohammed Siraj provided the first breakthrough for Team India, dismissing Pakistan’s opening batter, Abdullah Shafique. Pakistan’s opening partnership got off to a good start, with their openers contributing to a 41-run partnership.
