[Watch] Cameron Green’s Gesture Sparks Talk as Pakistan Crush Australia in Lahore
Cameron Green’s frustrated gesture grabbed attention as Pakistan crushed Australia by 90 runs in the second T20I at Lahore.
Cameron Green was Australia’s top scorer but still left the field unhappy during a one-sided second T20I against Pakistan at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. His dismissal and reaction became a major talking point in a match Pakistan completely controlled.
Green scored 35 off 20 balls and looked the most comfortable Australian batter on a tough night. He tried to hold the innings together as wickets kept falling around him, but his stay ended in the 11th over.
Usman Tariq outfoxed Green with a clever delivery. He slowed down in his run-up and bowled a low-release full ball. Green sliced the shot straight to backward point, where Shadab Khan took a sharp catch.
As Green walked back, he looked clearly frustrated. He repeatedly mimicked Tariq’s bowling action, appearing to suggest there was something wrong with it. The gesture was caught on camera and quickly drew attention, adding spice to an already heated contest.

Pakistan, however, had already put Australia under pressure with the bat. Captain Salman Agha led from the front with a superb 76. He paced his innings well and attacked the bowlers once set, keeping the scoreboard moving.
Usman Khan gave strong support with a fluent 53. The pair made sure Pakistan finished strong, pushing the total to an imposing 198 for 5. Australia’s bowlers struggled to control the flow of runs in the middle and death overs.
Chasing 199, Australia never really got going. Early wickets hurt their confidence and the required run rate kept climbing. Apart from Green, no batter managed to stay long enough to threaten Pakistan.
The collapse was swift and brutal. Australia were bowled out for just 108 in 15.4 overs, losing the match by a massive 90 runs. It was one of their heaviest T20I defeats in recent times.
Pakistan’s spinners dominated the chase. Abrar Ahmed and Shadab Khan picked up three wickets each, using variations and smart lines to keep the batters guessing. The fielding effort matched the bowling intensity throughout.
The win gave Pakistan a big boost in the series and underlined their strength at home. For Australia, the night raised questions not just about their batting, but also about discipline, with Green’s reaction likely to be discussed further.
